9/6/25 Raid on Grimvault
Prior Warning
Tycherus and twixhex had warned the leader of Grimvault, EnderDragonDaddy, multiple times that they would be raiding his base tomorrow on the 8th of June, and had been hinting towards a raid for almost a week. For this reason both Tycherus and ILoveTwixhex had been totemed, and significant improvements had been made to Grimvault. An irl friend of WoodenOcelot had also told him that Tycherus was going to raid him today and the exact time.
Raid
On Monday the 9th of June, 2025, Tycherus, twixhex, tierran0va, Borigir, TankBaby10 and ILoveTwixhex all spawned at beds placed in an old base belonging to a member of Grimvault, FlyingOliver2016. They quickly kitted up from items that Tycherus had put there earlier and placed down an anchor, before making their way through the nether to Grimvault. ILoveTwixhex stayed at the raid base with the intention of using stasis chambers to leave the raid if needed. Once they had arrived, they targetted the North node, and although experienced some terrain difficulties, they swiftly broke through the 3 obsidian protecting it and removed the node. They then moved to the anchor, where they blew through a stone wall and entered a room adjacent to the core of the base via a maintenance staircase. Once they had broken into the core room, they destroyed the totems bound to Tycherus and ILoveTwixhex, before breaking into multiple bedrooms to remove the beds before focusing on the anchor.
At this point AKASweet and WoodenOcelot, both base residents, had logged on. WoodenOcelot had no items and had died quickly, with no bed to respawn at. AKASweet however had a full enchanted set of netherite armour and attempted to try and delay the raiders via the use of crystals and enchanted golden apples, however he was struggling against the 3 of them who were fighting. 411wn also shortly came online, however he had to travel all the way from his base in the tile of Oceania down to Grimvault which was in the South Pole. As the raiders were repelling AKASweet with their sub optimal, protection 3 armour and sharpness 3 axes, the health of the anchor continued to tick down due to the 2 players mining it. By the time 411wn arrived to save AKASweet, the anchor health waas down to less than 1,500. 411wn was more prepared for a fight that AKASweet, and the raiders armour lacked unbreaking and was already strongly depleted on durability. This meant that the 2v3 between 411wn and AKASweet and Tycherus, Borigir and TankBaby10 did not last very long, with Tycherus's pants breaking, TankBaby10 losing his chestplate and Borigir losing his helmet. This just left tierran0va and twixhex, who had been mining the anchor and got it down to around 250 health at this point. Unfortunately their armour broke quickly as well, leaving twixhex with only 2 pieces of armour in seconds and tierran0va without a helmet. This lead to the loss of the raid, however it shows many poor design flaws in Grimvault and is inspiring for the future of minto raiding.
