PVP & PVE Changes on Minto.xyz

Here is a list of changes that affect both PVP and PVE gameplay on Minto.xyz.

Major changes

Listed below are the major changes to PVP that will effect how everyone plays

Attack Speed related:

A balance between 1.8.9 and 1.9+ PVP styles has been made, allowing them coexist.

  • Axe attack speed has been changed to match that of 1.21 swords.
  • Sword attack speed has been changed to mirror that of 1.8 PVP.
    • ⚠️ (You can now spam click swords for max damage)

Consumables:

  • Golden apples no longer offer any form of saturation
    • ⚠️ (A mix of Splash Potions of Health & Golden apples are highly advised during PVP)
  • Strength Potions have been completely disabled
    • Strength is still obtainable from beacons
  • Totems no longer save you from death.

General (misc.):

  • Netherite armour no longer offers knockback resistance.
  • Knockback has been altered to be higher vertical knockback + slightly higher horizontal knockback (Kohi Values).
💥 Dying to a player will remove 50% of your inventory's loot 💥

Item Cooldowns

Certain items now have cooldowns before use:

  • 0 → 8 second draw cooldown on end crystals, and 15 second placing cooldown.
  • 0 → 4 second draw cooldown on TNT minecarts, and 8 second placing cooldown.
  • 0 → 2 second draw cooldown on cobwebs, and 12 second placement cooldown if in combat.

Items that have a cooldown after usage:

  • 10 second cooldown between uses of enderpearls.
  • 5 minute cooldown between uses of enchanted golden apples.

Minor Changes

General changes have been made to ensure that PVP on minto is much cleaner

  • Bed bombing is no longer viable in The Nether or The End dimensions.
  • Potion velocity has been slightly increased to guarantee potions register faster.
  • Health packets have been spoofed. (Health indicator mods won't offer any advantages)
